I have the type j kit from rksport i was wondering what temperature urethane will start to melt/deform at. I put a muffler on and want to know how far i should keep it from my back bumper
I have the type-j with rk's magnaflow exhaust. I would keep the muffler at least an inch down, i had to lower mine down cause i seen that it started to deform under neith. You might need more clearence but you might not. Mines at an inch... hope that helps

actually you do. my drift rear where the muffler cut out is was too small. i thought i cut it out big enough for clearance. when it was on the car it had just enough clearance but when the car was running, i guess the vibrations from the exhaust caused it to rattle a little. eventually, it formed itself around the muffler since it was so hot and now it doesnt rattle.
