Have a 96, the lights are "dull" relative to newer cars - and even with Sylvania Silverstar bulbs installed.
Was thinking of prowling the junkyards for headlights from a newer year - assuming the newer years have better reflectors and "glass" - to get better performance from the bulbs and thus brighter lights.
Can anyone please advise which year to look for that takes the least amount of custom work - no bumper or bracket mods - basically just a direct bolt-on. Thinking maybe 97? 98? - would they have better "glass" and reflectors?
Thanks tons folks in advance!
Steve
hey steve. ya know, i take apart headlights all day to make my projectors. all the lenses and headlights are the same. the only difference is the drain hole. some are mounted on the top, bottom, and even on the side. the best thing i could suggest is either take your lens off and clean the headlight from the inside, or like you said, just find some other ones to replace them. you can send me the lights and i could throw in some projectors if you'd like.
good luck man, and let me know if i can help.

Pop off the lense, and buff it, inside and out...should get most of the grime out of it...
I'll have to take a close look at opening them up and cleaning them real good!
