I was just wondering if anyone has ever painted their exterior locks before to match thier car. Is it possible even, if it is what paint would you use that wouldn't peel.

You can paint them, but unless you're super careful with your key you can scratch the paint.

Ya I never use my key to open my car, or trunk. Unless i lose my remote. I was just wondering if anyone has done it b4 and what paint they used and how they did it.

i did it when i painted my car last year, trying to put the key in during winter in the dark was the end of it, chipped a big piece off, got annoyed and cleaned the paint off of both then

Just shave 'em! I don't think painting them is going to work.
