Hey guys,
Quick question for you...
I have a Black Cavalier and I am wondering what products will really make my car shine like new again. I know it's probably a question of personal preference i.e. (Mother's vs. Meguiar's) but there must be something out there that can really help me out. My car has seen better days... I bought it used with quite a few scratches on it that I am not too worried about, I am more worried about the classic swirl marks black cars are all too familiar with. So is there any combination of products/buffers I should try using to really get a good shine back to my car? I have used Meguiar's gold class wax by hand and that gives a good solid black but doesn't really give an overall shine to the car.
Any help would be great
Thanks guys
mothers 3 step wax system? i dont think ive ever seen that, how is it?

I have seen the results of these products and they are totally awsome, even on a black car.
I perfer the meguiars brand better. Check out
Meguiars Online Forums. Post what you want to do and they will let you know what products you need.
I did my dads black car the other day. Washed first, they clayed, then used meguiars colox, then topped it off with some meguiars nxt wax. It looks bad ass right now. Looking at the paint is like looking at a mirror.

meguiars 3 step system, cleaner, polish, wax.
Now I work at a Automotive detailing shop and on any car especially black that are pretty scratched up we use a buffing wheel the ones that can spin up to 7,000 rpms and first wheel the whole car with a liquid compund and using a foam pad. Then wash the car again. Next we use a wool pad on the wheel and wheel the car with a cleaner wax(be sure the wheel is flat against the surface and is set at medium speed or you will get wheel marks all over the car). Last give a coat of wax and when you remove the wax it will look almost like a new car. Any other question let me know.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'm thinking I'll try out the three step system. Seems like the best bang for the buck.
