havent seen it on fires.. i know for cavis its a pain in the ass because the hinges are under an enclosure.. and they need to be on the outside of it.. not sure if the fires are the same or not? ive also seen some problems with the trunk lining up when closed.. imo its not worth it but thats me
its main purpose is for those with huge wings. the standard way it opens, the wing will smack the windsheild, and you wont be able to get things in/out of the trunk, or show it off. the flip-flop method, is a way to get around that. teamforwardmotion.com has a guide on it if im not mistaken.
from what i read on the .org tho, people have had fitment, alignment and trunk release issues. so, if your not very handy, then you might wanna get some help.

Along with the alignment issues, I've heard that the trunk rattles like a b!$ch with it. I'm trying to figure out a way to add springs or something to avoid that, but it's low on the priority list right now. if I can get to it, I'll post pics, then again it's on a cavy, so I don't know if that will help with the original post.
