me and a few friends found an awesome deal on cf hoods for our cars... two of us are getting vis cf invader hoods... just wondering about quality and fitment. i know the weave isnt gonna be perfect, but how well do they line up with the fenders and front bumpers? do they line up cool with the stock bolt holes? - im wanting to use the factory hood latch- hard to make work? safe to use with no hoodpins? anybody with these hoods - any comment to quality or fitment would be apprecated. im getting an 03 invader... my buddy is getting the 99- 02 one
I have always heard when it comes to carbon fiber hoods that VIS is the way to go, I could be wrong though.

The weave on my invader is very good. But I can't get it to fit as well as I would like. It sits a little higher then the fenders. But overall I like it a lot.

Ok you busted me...I do work there. My paychecks have really sucks lately but the more you sell the bigger it is so I thought I would sell as many hoods as possible and then if someone asked about the remaining $200 of each hood I would pay it out of my pocket.

my hood fits great... the problem with the hood sitting higher... you need to shave the stock latch and lower it down a little bit i will get some pics within a couple of days when i do mine

But I have seen hoods were hoodpins were installed and the hood started to crack in that location. This is the only reason that I do not put hood pins on my hood. And when your at a show you have the hood up anyways so nobody can tell if it fits good or not.
drive without pins for cosmetic reasons, do it, please, if you wont take the safety advice thats your fault, running without pins would be one of the dumbest things u could do reguardless of if you know it worked with someone you may know or not. bottom line, maybe not everytime it will fly up, but what if your the case that it does? gunna sue vis? cuz they recomend pins just like anyone else.....

IF you want to stop that "shake" in the vis hoods thats there heres what to do.
Take off the lower part of the latch that actually locks.
shave the adjustments about another half an inch with file.
reconnect the cable.
close the hood.
Keep doin this till it fits properly.
This is what Darkstars told me to do with my invader hood and it fits perfect now and havent had any problems.
Im sure if your good with a welder you could make something up too.
