I recently purchased some new 9007 bulbs for my 2002 cavalier and the link to the ones that I bought is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7955627021&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOAB:US:6
And now when I put it in gear to activate the DRL's, they flicker ten times or so and then shut off plus the service light turns on. Also after I turn off the ignition and start it up a again the same problem happens again. If anyone thinks they know what the problem is please let me know or if anyone can fix the problem please let me know!!!
Thanks

The only thing i think of ritgh now is that they may draw too much current.....and the relays go crazy.
Do I need a bigger relay cause the one that is in there now is 30amp. And the low and high beams do work!!!
so both of your high beams work? because I know if one of them is out, your DRL's will not come on. But I guess if they are new bulbs it should be working. Personally I wouldn't put a bigger amp in there, but I would suggest emailing the company that made them or calling them, and telling them your problem.
yea thats what happens when you buy crapy stuff on ebay, and why in the world would you need more than a 30amp relay? do you realize how much 30amps is?? look up the formula for figuring out how many amps is actually needed with the certain amount of watts at certain amount of voltage....
pretty sure its watts divided by line voltage....
and i can guarantee you, that those bulbs dont produce 130/100 watts like the label says, how do i know? because i have 130 watt lights on my bullbar, and if you put 100/130 watt bulbs in your composite plastic housing they would melt, the heat that comes off 100/130 watt bulbs is insane....its like a small heater on the front of my truck....and anyway, 130 watts each bulb still is only 21.666 amps for both bulbs together...
I figured it out! I did some testing with the old bulbs. I put the old bulbs in and everything worked fine, then I took one out and the DRL's started acting up. Thank god the bubls had warranty and now i just wait till the new ones get shipped to me and i can have my super whites back.
Let this be a leasoned learned to me and everyone else...
P.S. the american watts for the bulbs were actually 85/80
Thanks All
