HP Tuners V Electromotive TEC3.....
Tuesday, June 19, 2007 4:25 PM
I wanted to get some info from all guys that have run or dealt with the HP tuners and the Elec. Tec3 kit.

I am curious because i have a tec3 (lot of problems with the company and finally recieved all parts) but i could send it back for a full refund. i needed to know if I should run the tec3 kit or get the refund and get an HP tuners setup that could save me over a grand.

I want to run a T3/T04E stage 3 ball bearing turbo and push 10-13 psi.

Please I need all info i can get.
thank in advance

Hey man you are comparing water to fire with these two set ups! Th HP tuners uses the factory computer while the Tec 3 is a complete sand alone. HP tuners is great but if you plan on building a serious car then i would recomend the TEC 3. We have it on my brothers 86 Trans Am and it is wonderful. You get boost, nitrous control, fuel and timing and you can make many different tunes for different set-ups and race fuels or pump fuels. It is worth the money, if you are building a serious car. You can fine tune the TEC3 better than HP Tuners and that is key to not having the engine go BOOM! I have seen a TEC3control a 1000HP M3. there my 2 cents for you.
