I am going to have my Ecotec tuned soon. The guy who is tuning it has mainly tuned boosted Ecos. Could someone with a NA Ecotec with a HP tune send me their tune so he can check what's been changed and get an idea of the differences?

I don't think to this date anyone has a dyno tuned 2.2 n/a eco w/ stock + bolt-ons configuration. Do google search you can find info on optimum afrs for 4cyl n/a motors, I wasn't able to find anything specific to the ecotec.

My car runs quite rich, thus the need for it. I've fried two catalytic converters since I got the car new in 2003. Thanks for the info tho. I'm guessing dyno tuning would be the best route to go, test and tune so to speak.

I can't understand why people ask questions like this.
If someone spends a few hundred on dyno time to do a good tune, what would their motivation be to give that investment away.
If the car was chippable, it would be really similar to buying a chip for $300 and then sending it to someone else for them to use.

I'm not tuning expert, but I would think you are changing the same fields you change when tuning the turbo Ecotec. If he does not know what AFR's to tune to, then I would not let him tune my car.
I know someone who tuned a N/A completely stock Ecotec and gained 6-8hp on the low end and about 8hp on the top end.

He's not copying their tune, he's comparing what they did versus stock. This will probably involve a dyno as well when I do the tuning. All the tuning he's done has been on Cobalt SS/SCs and wants to see what the difference would be with a NA. I fail to see the problem with sharing the tuning information. Wouldn't you want to see what other people have done, that has been shown to work, before diving into a different platform to tune?
