Alright so I'm swapping a 2000 grand am 3400 engine into my 99 cavalier. I am going to be using a standard transmission. I know that the auto transmission codes need to be removed. My quesion is, how difficult is this to do with hptuners? My original plan was to find someone who could do it for me becuase the cost of me purchasing hpt doesn't seem worth it since I know I would hardly ever use it (I would be to worried about screwing something up). HOWEVER, I may be able to get hpt for only $300, used, but still has 6 credits. So that I think would be well worth it. So anyway how difficult is it to remove auto tranny codes, and probably passlock aswell?
