Hi i'm new to this forum but not to the ecotec, i've rebuilt a stock motor before and it started up and ran like a champ. the problem is now i've rebuilt another one with upgraded rods,8.9 pistons and a ported head and now having trouble starting it. i've double checked the timing set it to stock specs, checked the ignition componets and the spark plugs, the starter, the battery,checked for vaccum leaks i found some around the injectors but fixed that ,its getting fuel ,i've even replaced the map & crank sensor. it almost wants to start stays on for like a sec then dies. I dont know what else to do, any ideas would be helpful i'm getting frustrated on whats happening.
theftlock/passlock prob need to do the relearn. that could be one issue? check the faq about how to do it and see if that helps.

what year is the motor you just put in?
