Hello all, been a while since i last posted here but i need some help. my 96z auto is nearly complete after FINALLY getting the built 4 speed back. My problem is that after routing and mounting all of the wiring harness to the cavalier i am left with one stray connector that i apparently cant find a mate for anywhere... the missing connector is round and about 1/2 "dia, its 3 conductor and has a vivid yellow weather-pack seal, also round. Its approx location is the front right motor bay near and under the overflow recovery tank due to the fact that it shares the same wire loom with the overflow tank sensor underneath. Sorry no pics, no cam. but if someone thinks they could help me out i would really appreciate it. If necessary i can run home and tell you guys the colors and descriptions of the 3 wires. thanks alot!
when you say vivid yellow it makes me think airbag connector. if it is make sure you disconnect the battery or pull the fuse before you connect it
there's no airbag connector on the engine wiring harness.

freq nailed that on the head... anyone else? im stumped.
wiring colors will def help.
also if you could do a quick drawing of the connector in ms paint. it would definately help
since you don't have a cam.

i have made the picture on ms paint but for the life of me i cant figure out how to add the picture for you all to see. sorry, first time for everything. any help here? haha
A/C pressure transducer?
Wire colors would be most helpful.

I have to agree with Todd based on the description. Although mine had a purple weatherpack seal, but my car is a bastard all around
grey wire and redwith stripe, and finally a green or blue wire with a stripe.
alrite, now with better lighting i can see that there is a grey whire with no stripe and a red wire witha black tripe and finaly a orange wire with black stripe. sorry for all the confusion.
Grey = A/C Pressure Sensor 5volt Reference. Orange/Black Stripe = A/C Pressure Sensor Ground. Red/Black Stripe = A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Signal.
I'm going to guess Todd was correct. Plugs into your A/C Compressor.

it pluds into a sensor on the A/C lines going to the condensor near the edge of the radiator/right headlight.

Did you just say 5 volt reference??
I'd like to use this for an input for my 2 bar map sensor.. That would work, right???
I tried to use the 5 volt reference off the MAP sensor, but it threw codes for low voltage. I don't have my A/C anymore- so who gives a @!#$ about that system, right ??
Somebody back me up here...
thanks for the help everyone, really appreciate it!
