Seems kinda wierd to me that he would put 19's on a car that seems to be about going as fast as possible
Go for 5k? Hell no, this car is far past that "caliber".. The paint is a custom painted Silver Marlbilizing starting from the front tires that fade into the spoiler.. The 19's are for looks, but since he can still hit 0-60 in around mid-low 4's it doesn't really bother him to sacirfice some speed.. Not only that but when he launches it pinging off the rev limiter to build atleast 8 psi, she break all 4 tires loose.. Mmmm And since he wanted to keep it daily driven he never really cared to much of concentrating on all speed or all looks.. Thats why it's best of both worlds.. With an almost stock interior. Motor is an ugly one, but boy does she move.. He is just sick of the whole "DSM" outlook, he is continously plagged with boost leaks (25 psi will do that to ya
) I mean @!#$, he blew the welds off his first sheet metal intake manifold.. So he's done with 4 bangers and high boost.. He's moved on to Small Block and high boost..

No NOS, closest thing we came to nitrous was Water/Alcohol injection.. Just hated that turbo lag, seemed like it took forever to hit boost, but when she did.. HOLD ON! 25psi is tits

6k for that car so far is nothing. The damn sheppard trans alone is more than that. his reserve is 13,500 which is not asking alot for all that car. very very nice car and I bet it kicks azzz on the street.

He'll be damn lucky if he can get that amount though. They usually go for cheap even with lots of mods dumped in them unless there extremely clean. That car is kinda ricey looking IMO but best of luck to him.
How did he get his shep tranny to cost more then 6k, they start at what, $860 or so for a rebuild and $2400 for a brand new one. Car definetly has some nice stuff on it.
^^ i thought the trans was more than that. I stand corrected i guess on that one. And I agree I don't like the trunk setup along with the water stains from it leaking. But all the motor stuff is very nice. It could be in nicer shape but I still like it.

Far from ricer, those tail lights are rare, I know they look like just clear peices of @!#$, but they are JDM something ma bobers screw it.. Unimportant.. The car liquid leak? Are you talking about from the front tires? Thats painted marbilizing.... YOu should see it at the perfect angle in the sun... Beautiful..

Actually it really was far from beatin on... Everything he did that actually made the car reach "beating" type actions was accompanied by the appropriate mods and precautions to handle it.. It purrs like a kitten (except for the beautiful sound of the Webb 272's cams.. Daily driven except for short 2 month period of akward plague boosts... The car is no longer a 12 year old car.. Everything on it has been touched except for the valves, retainers/top end etc... and the stock seats... That thing is made to move and take it daily. Oh yea, and the A/C blows ice cold and can hit mid-high 11's (hasn't been proven because of not wanting to cage the interior..hes does want to get kicked out of a track or he would know) on pump gas...
It was a fun car, but ever sice our buddy bought lightly modified vr4 that would have almost instant boost on them 9B's he wanted something with less turbo lag.. Cure? Let's boost a V8... He plans on reaching a similar boost level on the V8.. 23psi = mmmmmm

and you try to tell someone who is a potentioal buyer its not 12 years old.
And the way you said he launches it, it kind of sounds like beating on to me.

sappy is right, fast or not, its still an old 12yr mistu that is known to be just as reliable as a ford tempo. Hes gonna have to face the fact hes not going to get nearly what he put into it.
and although i am very impressed with it's parts. that paint job makes it look like it's permanetly dirty. and weather the clear tails came from APC or japan they are ricey.
But seriously this is a text book impression of a guy thinking "mods" increase value. when the reality is Mods cause a vehicle to lose value, and give off the impression that this car was "beat on" weather it was or not.....that is what people will think. And that in turn lowers the value even worse. Tack on that the car is 12 years old.....
I HIGHLY doubt he put all that time and money into that car to just run it under the speed limit to get milk on sundays. that thing was driven, nobody mods a car that extreme and NOT enjoy it, sorry.
Good luck for him, but this is just another lesson learned...modded cars depreciate more than stock.

Frame? 12 year old Uni-Body that was stored every winter.. ITS SOLID.. Simple as that, the car was ran hard, I agree... But that was what the car was made to do..No doub't about it. The paint does have the permanent dirty look, but when its clean in the sun, it really does have an agressive look.. The one thing that he really tried to avoid was catching the appeal of what people consider Rice.. They're not Altezza's, their not anything, they are clear with colored bulbs instead of relying on lenses for color.. But I guess if clear tails and altezza's are rice than that would make EVO's rice.. Its the JDM look..
He never thought that the more friggin mods he puts on it makes it worth more.. He planned on having it till it exploded.. But you have to agree with him, boosted V8 sounds so much better.

Alls I am saying, is that you would never say anything bad against this car if you knew of its actual build and what it really is capable of.. And you can't tell me this car is old and beaten unless you have been in it under full boost on a third gear pull.. It's incredible..
Engine is dirty? Why, because it isn't chrome to catch peoples attention as pretty? The numbers say she's putting 400+hp to the wheels, I guess that's pretty enough for me..
