Who do you guys think would win
3000gt vr-4, 6-spd, T/T at 9 psi VS 2001 T/A, S/C 6 spd, Ram Air
on 0-60, 1/8 1/4 and a mile time
3000gt vr4
320hp and about the same torque AWD
T/A LS1
305-335hp STOCK.
probley running a 6-8psi pully. so add roughly another 50%hp.
so that T/A is probley running between 400-450whp
0-60-VR4. the awd
1/8-im still gonna say VR4 cuz awd
1/4-T/A shoudl be walking away from it
and a mile time-T/A without a doubt... by this time it probley caught traction and is pulling like a lunitic.
if the T/A is running slicks or radials to where it can get traction, it will probley win the 1/8th too
13 psi and climbing......
what year 3000 GT?
91-93 make 300Hp 307 lb/ft torque
94-99 make 320Hp 315 lb/ft torque
the weight is 3600 lbs i think
The T/A was what 350hp and then the S/C
i think the weight 3500lbs the vr-4 mite beable to beat it with a good driver.
those VR4's are quick...i have seen i few race camaros and kill em, im sure they were on different modding levels or something though......
FOR SALE: (5) '95-'99 Z24 Rims
I drove a stock 92 Vr4 and while i thought i was pretty quick i would bet a SC'd TA would take care of it.
2006 Cobalt SS 2.4L 9.6 @74mph 1/8th mile w/2.28 60ft
yea the Trans Am Ram air is 350hp..
ima say the trans am...
also no camaro ever came out with more HP then the Trans Am Ram Air...stock this is..
the SS had what 335?

Stock versus stock there pretty close but I didn't catch that the T/A is supercharged.
I have to take the T/A all the way easily except maybe 0-60 on the street if the vr-4 can launch.
Isn't 9psi pretty much stock anyway on a vr-4?
i thought the vr-4's came stock with 12psi?

if the trans am is supercharged thats prolly another 80+ hp, maybe even 100, both are heavy cars, i would have to say the trans am would take em.
out of the hole the mitsu
1/8, probably the mitsu
1/4 the trans am if he can hook up
is the 3000gt stock except for boost pressure?
or does he have different turbos?
other cars, better cars?
Whats the weight of the two cars?
I think the a supercharged TA would take it ....
Also, both being 6 spd, driver would play a big part too..
i want a stealth RT/TT sooooooooo bad..
10k yearly insurance = rape tho

BUAHAHAHAHA,, I was drinking a coke, now you owe me a keyboard.
Regarding the thread, not many cars are gonna hang with a supercharged LS1 without some serious work.
supercharged TA after 20-25 mph EASY. stock ls1 with a supercharger should be making upwards of 430+ hp easily.
-Borsty
if the 3000gt vr4 is actually modded i.e. different turbos
it will be closer but he will still lose
other cars, better cars?
the t/a will rape the 3000gt stock
ls1's have been known for breaking into the 12's stock with slicks
1998 Cavalier
1995 Trans Am
1984 Camaro Z28
and 3000gt vr4s are a very low 13sec car
