New Car Choices?
Thursday, September 15, 2005 7:49 PM
Whats up, time for a new car now. I have some money I woudl like to spend $6,000 but could stretch to 10,000 if I wanted.

I am looking at the 00+ Eclipse Sypders... I want a convertible, and I want to bag it (I miss em!). I also need pretty good gas mileage, and not that fast, so nothing turbo'd or sc'ed.

Anything you guys suggest to look into?

Yup, those too. You could try out the Nissan Frontier and for even more giggles, throw in the SR20DET or just keep the KA24DE and work on that since there are bunch of aftermarket parts for that since it shares the same motor as the 240sx.

Have a good one,
Justin

Golf GTI of Jetta both in 1.8T. Stay off the boost and you'll have great gas mileage. Get on the boost and have a little kick. You wont want to spend your money on bags anymore, but chips, FMICs, and bigger turbos

You can pick up a 00+ Eclipse Spyder GS reasonable. Insurance wont kill you since its just a GS, the 4cyl is pretty good on gas mileage. If you ever want more power its easy to do a turbo setup since its soo much like a 4G63T. They have some nice kits for em. Dont know about bags but hey your choice.
