2.4 ecotec DOHC 173hp

I was just browsing theinternet today and I came across something quite interesting. I might be the only one to not have notice it yet I saw a chevy HHR 2LT. that new suv that chevy came out with. I noticed that they come with the 2.4 ecotec DOHC w/ 172 hp @ 6000 rpm and 162 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4400 rpm . Imagine putting that into a cavy or sunfire. This is something I'd like to have in my cavy. anyways, sorry if I'm the only one behind on this I just haven't looking at the news lately.

I think they are putting it in the cobalts and I know the solstice comes with a 2.4 I dont know if its the eco or not.

Yup, I think you are pretty much the last person. There are tons of discussions on this engine if you bother to search.

I never heard about it, but then again I don't care a whole lot about Cavy's anymore ever since I got a real car.

you cant go by the way a car feels most of the time, it feels slower cuz the cars build quality is way better then a cavalier

my friends acura 3.2tl doenst feel any faster then my cavalier, but it's about a second quicker

Damn, I'm way behind then. Anyway, imagine having 172 hp stock and room for mods that can probably boost it up to over 200hp. I've heard of people here in the org that have cars with over 200 hp. (2.2 eco) now think about swaping a 2.4 eco and having all those mods done to the 2.4, that would definitely be a heck of an engine. Well anyways, thanx for keeping me updated, I gotta do some searching on the 2.4.

If you're going to swap in the 2.4 eco, why not go for the gusto and swap in the 2.0 supercharged? Makes more sense to me.

The only thing I can find funny here is people say a car "feels fast", while another "feels slow"
Answer to this is, your arse is not a dyno, or a clock.

If I had the skill, or the money, I'd rather supercharge the 2.4L
