Come on man, these companies make cars that will appeal to a broad base. They are huge companies that would rather put more resources towards more mainstream products. All of the above have special divisions that build really cool cars that never see the light of day. In the end it is what sells most that gets the most attention.

gm is the only one left without a awd car. teh vibe doesnt count since its the same as the matrix and is made by toyota (from my understanding)

HAHA you guys crack me up. Just cause GM bought a percentage in Stock you act like they have any input into Subaru's design and technology.
And NISSAN has AWD = See Infinity G35X....but its not AWD and turbo I am talking about here, its about offering a higher form of sport driving technology in their vehicles.

Dave, there is nothing wrong with appealing to a broad base. If that is your admitted stance with Chevy/GM then why get a wad in your pants when I state that they have nothing under the Corvette that makes me want to even look at a dealer parking lot?

Addition....LOOK what the WRX and STi has done for subaru, the Forrester benefits, the Legacy benefits, the base impreza benefits, the Tribeca benefits.
I think if GM would get a little bit of testosterone in an affordable car or two the whole lineup may get a jolt in sales(besides rent-a-cars and fleet vehicles)

I had a magazine in 2002, and it had an early picture of the Grand AM replacement, (It was quite similar to the G6), but it said that AWD was being considered. That would be sweet. But it never happened.
Just for the record, the Pontiac Aztek had AWD.

Why does GM need a AWD car? Other then driving in the snow and dirt there really isn't a large need for it. IMO Oh and you forgot Audi, Lancia, Porsche, BMW, Suzuki,etc

You know, maybe a manual option, an awd or rwd option, a little power and handling more advanced than what was available in 1979. Oh and styling that doesnt look like a retards play toy(see current chevy front end designs)
