well since my cavy is done for, i gotta start looking at cars and i been instrested in older saabs , like 1990-95...other then most people thinking there increadably ugly, is there anythiing i should know about them, also when did GM take over Saab? and how are they to work on/ get parts?

Saabs are great cars, and they are not ugly, just weird.
I almost purchased a 9.5 myself, not from a lack of want but the guys wife was a bitch and said no, after we agreed on a price, after I got the loan, and after she found out he wanted to get a jeep wrangler. The car was awesome, completely tuned for performance, regeared trannsmission specifically for the cars power band, water injection, the thing was fast.
Here is what I gleaned from a friend who was a tech at Saab dealer. They are good cars, safer than being in a Volvo, the transmissions are not the strongest aspect of the car, you have to love the headlight wipers, and with some work, they can be very fast.
anything will seem fast after driving my 2.2ohv cavi for a year, but that isn't really a concern of mine I'm just wondering from a reliability aspect, i did notice most for sale seem to have pretty high miles, when you say the tranny isn't the strongest..you referring to the auto's or manuals?
anyone know if i can get parts for them (like maintenance parts) from places like a napa or autozone?

i think he was referring to the shifting???
Get a 01+ Saab 95!!! Kinda pricey, but good lord, smart lookin as anything. And yes, with a bit of work you could probably get a reliable 300hp out of it. *DROOOOL*
Adrock, you rock so well
