150 dollar CJ-2A whoohoo!

Picked this up yesterday for 150 bucks..

My dad found it on this farm he was picking some stuff up at and asked the old farmer about it. All he wanted was money to cover the new tires he put on it. Its a CJ-2A and if I"m reading the serial number right its a '46. The frame is solid and the body is in decent shape considering the way its been kept. It has the old flathead four banger. I got it to run for a few seconds today so that's a good sign. I'm going to start restoring this when I get done w/ my Scrambler, should be fun.
Some more pics

Hell yeah man, that thing's bad-ass. Only thing cooler than a dirty, beat-up Jeep is a dirty, beat-up classic Jeep.

this was totally a right place right time deal. I wasn't planning on getting anymore projects til I finished the 8 but I couldn't pass this deal up. I think a lot of it has to do w/ where I live, Northern Virginia used to all be farms and orchards so there are tons of CJs around, now all the land is being bought up for subdivisions so nobody needs jeeps anymore and the guys that bought CJs new are getting older and don't want to fix them up, so you have a big supply low demand = more cheep jeeps

cleaned the points now it runs great, no brakes but I tooled it around the lot in low range, course first thing to do w/ a new jeep is to find a big pile of dirt to climb...
