any reason why you would get rid of the suburban to get a denali?

I love our Denali.....you'll love the stock BOSE....it's wayyyyy better than the BOSE system in our MB CLK430? I can't figure that out but i know you'll enjoy it! I'm too lazy to look but did you get it with entertainment pack or with nav pack? Alright later man

My wife test drove one and loved it, but wanted to get the Envoy Denali (didn't like the largeness of the Yukon). The dealership told her she would have to go to Atl to get it, so I said screw that. So now she has a 05 4Runner coming to our Toyota dealership. Damn GM...

Um...yeah. The Suburban is giving me some trouble. I just did the fuel pump on it last weekend -FOR THE 4th TIME IN A YEAR! (the second time in 7 weeks)

AC Delco finally came forward and said the wiring was shorted out and it was a problem they have been seeing for a while now. So even though the part was warranteed each time I did it...it is still alot of work. I just got tired of it. Also, have you ever sat in a Denali. Sooo nice.

My wife wanted the Denali because they have the captn's chairs in the middle seat. The Z71 Suburban has that too, but the fit and finnish is so much better on the Denali. We have twins that sit in the middle seat (still in car seats) and the boys (2 more) sit in the back. They are always climbing over the seat. so this should be nice cause they can just slide down the middle.

Also, I just took our 28' travel trailer up into the mountains. I am guessing the 6.0 will do a better job than 35 mph up the hills. and will probably get the same gas mileage (6 mpg while towing )

So to answer everyones questions... we need the size to fit my family, the girth to tow the trailer, cargo area for the double stroller, and the luxury because... well, maybe the luxury is excessive... but the price was right, so who cares.

KBB.com put the "TRADE IN VALUE" at $20,000. Retail at $28,000. so picking it up for $18,000 is not too shabby!

well...I got the Denali home...and the guy knocked off a few hundred bucks, cause he chipped the windshield after the auction. So I landed it for about $17,800!

It drives sooo nice, and is spotless, there is not a chip or ding in the paint anywhere...and the interior is beautiful. I will post pictures later after I slip my 18's off the Suburban onto it.

talk about an ebay success story!

It doesn't do too bad. Our 1999 Suburban had the 350 in it...it was tired, and less efficient. The 6.0 gets about the same mileage in the city (12-14 mpg) But when towing our travel trailer I can guess that we will get better than 6-7mpg like we were getting in the Sub. The 6.0 puts alot more power to the ground. So it shouldn't have to work as hard.

But on the "instantanious fuel economy" built in computer...I punched it when getting on the freeway yesterday, it dropped down to 3 mpg! -of course as soon as I let off it flew up to 48 mpg. On average, this tank...I am getting 15.2 - partially highway driving.

Nice truck.

Large vehicles like that have their purpose, and having four kids definitely is one of those, but I'll keep to my cars and 30mpg.
