Hey guys,
well , i know somebody on the board here has one.. i've seen pics but can't find owner. There was one at the track last night. The best he could muster was 15.08 but being a new owner, he was saying that gusy are running 14.2 stock. yikes.. i said sure..but i know the cobalt can't do thats stock. Anyone have some ion 1/4 mile times stock/slightly modded..goes for the cobalt ss..are they respectable??
thanks
Nate

Fastest I've seen was an SS than ran a 13.9 with a K&N filter. Fastest sock was a 14.3.
They are extremely hard to launch....which is basically the most important part of the 1/4.
They take some time to get used to.
stock i saw a redline run everything from a 15.1 to a 14.5 in the same night, so it does take driver skill to get good times out of the cars
and on the redline forums theres a guy with one who has a cat-back and a CAI and is hittin 13.9's
on the internet, they run mid to low 14's. at the track they run high 14's low 15's.

at Import wars today there was 2 or 3 SS's one was in the mid 15's, another had a dail in time on his car of 15.1 and the third was in the mid-low 15's, not a single one broke into 14's today

DING DING DING!!!
Ever consider that the "internet" times are with professional drivers who have experience with the car?? Obviously a new owner isn't going to go and run the car to max potential, it takes time to learn the car and get the launch down right.
Think about what you're saying before you go and make an ass out of yourself.

Driving is everything.
But if the cobalt is not equipped with the LSD in my opinion it is harder to run consistant times.
Average is around 14.5- 14.7 (stock)
i saw 1 run a 15.08 last night in high 90 , low 100 degree temps
and at the dealer a friend works at , a kid there has 1 and hasnt been able to beat a 15.1

Just cause you masterbate to the thought of the SS running 14's, doesnt mean everyone else does and will. You can agrue all you want but ill believe what i have seen them run at the track. And thats low 15's. And please, EVERYONE IS A PROFESSIONAL ON THE INTERNET! Hey guys im a doctor, why casue i said so and its the internet, i can say whatever i want to. Oh wait now im Neil Armstrong, nope wait a minute, im bill gates. ANd it has to be true, cause you read it on the internet! ANd who gives a flying rats ass what a professional can do in the car. Im not a professional, 99% of the people who are going to buy that car arent professionals. I Gotta agree with Jayson on this one wesmaw02 you need to relax you just jump all over anyone who has anything negative about the cobalt SS. w i know for me with my G-tech I cant run anything better then a 15.4 at 96 mph so that why for now I'm staying away from tracks and Dig races before i embarrass myself and this cars name.
wow...he said one little thing and people get all pissed off
ranting and raving about this and that.....its the internet people....
please, step away from the computer and go outside

Wow you need some serious help. You act like I'm the one who "overreacts", look at your post, its nothing but a rant about how much the Cobalt sucks. I say one thing, and you retaliate like I personally attacked you.
You are the one who needs to grow up, you just made yourself look like a complete jackass with that stupid post.

that wasnt from one little thing, that was built up fustration from always seeing you lick the coablts balls and arguing with anyone who doesnt. I dont feel like a jackass or think it was a stupid post.
