Im sure this will get flamed like crazy, but i was driving past a dealership today and they had a new charger parked our front. God was it hot, IMHO, looks better than the 300 and the magnum
I would agree that it looks better than the 300 and the magnum. It just shouldn't be called a Charger because it's a 4 door. It would be a sweet Intrepid though.

Yeah, but honestly, it could be called @!#$-Filled Pull Cart and id still think it looked hot
No, didnt have my camera on me, next time i go to that area ill take it, i wasnt expecting to see it. It looks kind of like a 300 but with a mean front end
I would rather called #$%#-filled Pull Cart than a Charger lol. I'm just playing. I think the front looks good, but the back is a Mitsu Galant...

anyone ever see the original prototype charger from like 1999? that one was hot. the new charger is just luke warm. i think the fact that its a 4door is pathetic and it looks like a non hatchback version of the magnum. i'm not impressed with it. only reason people are making a big deal out of it is cuz its got a hemi...which isn't really that big of a deal.

GO PATS!!!
What's wrong with it being a 4-Door, the original 300s were 2-door, I have never heard any moan that they shouldn't be called a 300. Dodge made a very wise business decision by making the new Charger a 4-door, yet they kept the spirit of the car intact. If the Charger would have survived the early 70s it wouldn't have made it very far as a 2-door it would have been killed off a long time ago, by making it a 4-door they have a car that will sell. The market is calling for 4-doors, it's still a Rear-drive, V-8 powered car that will move. To me it carrys on the tradition of the Charger and deserves the name.
Yella02-I promise I will return to you in one piece and this will stay up until I am safely home
the charger i saw at the ny autoshow had the sickest paintjob and if dodge offers that, its gonna be nuts, its this sick deep red / maroonish pearlfilled color..its insane!
I own the only Dodge car to deserve the name Charger! A 16,000 mile all original 1986 Shelby Charger Turbo ! All the other Chargers SUCK!

RWD, V8, Oh yhea.... bad ass!!!!
And when the SRT-8 comes out, 170+MPH top speed is gonna be untouchable!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing that turns me down is that the tail was designed to similar to the 2004-05 Mitsubishi Galant's tail.
But I could live with that.

Definitely a bad ass car, now only to decide what to treat myself too when I come off of MSG, 300C SRT-8, Charger SRT-8 or 3500 Cummins Ram, tough decision

I'd take one........
I think they're pretty good looking.
i think the magnum looks better, but i also like the magnums versatility better
would i buy a charger? signs point to no
would i like one? sure
It's a low cost 300M that looks meaner.
the new chargers suck balls! bah....4 door. has none of the old styling cues that would tie it in with a charger. its just playing the name game to sell. that for that reason alone it deserves to die.
saint: the charger did make it into the 80s.....2 doors intact. admitedly it went to hell after 74, but that was due to the gas hikes and the fact that the 70s and 80s lacked anything resembling good taste in style.. and like ^^^said above, they even had a turbo version in the 80s.
sparks: a prototype charger pic is attached. if it looked anything like that i may have been able to forgive the 4 door issue....but it doesnt. the prototype was more streamlined and kept some styling cues, esp in the rear. it was a much more decent looking car than the pos they just released.
i was hoping that dodge was going to release this as a coupe and priced to battle the mustangs, new gto, camaros/firebirds (even though they arent being made right now), etc. now that would have been sweet.
dodge charger -- chrysler laser -- plymouth laser -- mitsu eclipse. figure that one out

LOL
Shelby Chargers ain't bad but I think the '66-'74 models especially the Hemi powered ones are more deserving of the name.

I did say that jokingly. On the other hand only Two cars named Charger also carry a legends name ( SHELBY ) and both of those were 80s L bodies. The 1983 thru 87 Shelby Charger and the 1987 Shelby Charger GLHS.

66-74 are the only chargers that i actually think deserve the name. sorry but the 80s versions, even the shelbys, just arent my cup of tea.
i had a 74 and i miss it so bad

Hmm, lets think about this. Its supposed to remind us of a popular muscle car from the 60s-70s. Wait, whats that? 4 Doors? WTF? Muscle car? 4 doors? Umm, something needs some fixing.
I'd think about getting it, if it was a coupe, but a 4 door muscle car wannabe? I'll get a magnum instead, or better yet, a read charger.

Yup, I saw it at the WANADA show in Washington DC back then...I have a picture somewhere of it at my house...It was the same burnt orange color as the pic that Tabasco posted but was not the General Lee edition. That car looked amazing when I saw it...now its design looks like @!#$
