I know someone posted the video of John Shepherd's 8 second talon. This article is a little bit old. But its good reading and some awesome pictures. It just gives me so much hope since I also drive a 91 Eagle Talon (even though his is AWD and obviously much faster).

Durning the time of this article his car was the worlds fastest street car since the rules were changed to allow only radial tires in competitions. Shep's car was a sometime daily driver for him. His car would run 9's down the track and then drive all the way home without so much as changing his tires.

Of course now I think he's gone more to just a drag car but runs 8.78 seconds in the 1/4.
