I hear so much about these things, and people are going nuts over them. I don't care for it at all. I'm convinced that mass groups of people will buy anything labeled "mustang".

i'm pleased with bits and pieces of the car, but there are parts of it i don't like.
overall, however, this is the only mustang i'd drive newer than the original Machs.

I can't stand the new ones
This is actually the first generation of mustang I really like. It's not even because of the retro look either. I personally never liked the craze started over the new gone in 60 seconds. I just think the new stang is a great looking and so far great performing car.

I glanced at the mustang forums just now. They're paying OVER sticker to get GT's... this is insane. I would expect a beat down if I paid sticker or higher for one of those things. Soon the streets will be overrun and they won't seem so "unique", especially in a couple years.

they have ALOT of problems..
1- something about the gas tanks..it stops you from filling gas in ..2- something about the tranny or diff or something.i can't remember what i read..3- something about the stereo
and thats from the top of my head..their made like garbage..i don't like the interior either

Links? I've not heard of any of these problems and I am a regular at the Corral. I personaly am not a fan of the styling, but the performance is pretty good when the electronic castration is removed. With a tune for 91 octane and torque management is removed the car is low 13 second capable on street tires.

1. Plastic "residue" buildup in the filler necks hve caused a few filling problems.
2. The tolerences in a few early build Mustangs were incorrect, this has since been corrected at the factory.
3. Yes, the radios, well, CD's anyway, like to skip. For some reason, it only seems to be aproblem in the Mustangs. They've been revised a couple of times,a nd hopefully the problems are cured.

I still have yet to run a new mustang. V6 or v8. I'd like a go at both sometime. Someone was telling me the new V6 is not much slower then last model's v8's. Don't quote me on that. Thats just what I heard.
I like the new ones. I'm not in love with them. It doesn't take much for me to say they are 10x better though because I hated the older ones. I have always liked the Mach 1 fast backs. Even before Gone in 60 seconds. Of course that did help =P

they look fake to me, idk i just dont like em, i dont like any fords really, but yea soon there will be alot of them and they wont be a big deal anymore, kinda like the past models, everyones got em

i mean if i didnt like the look of the GTO and i put it as a topic thread here im sure id get flamed

GM is missing out on a lot of sales that Ford is raking in on, but I really don't think Ford is selling a car, they're selling a name (Mustang)... that's why it boggles my mind that GM removes some of it's best selling names Camaro and Firebird... they would sell no matter what they looked like too (within reason)..

I have driven one at the Homestead speedway track in Nov. The car was rock steady at 125-130Mph. The car's powerband is superb. The shifter I found it was short throw, but a little clunky, but wayyyy better then the Fox body's shifter. It felt like Lincoln LS in its ride,
thank-you long wheelbase.
The only thing I did not like tooo much was the hood seemed to long for my preference in the driver's seat.
But I do love the look of it (w/classic 17'rims) especially since it does not have the fake scoops anymore.
I rate it as an large overall improvement over the 2004 in everyway.

I don't like them either. I don't get the whole idea of going backward on car design instead of forward. In a few years I guess they'll redesign them to look just like the mid 70's Mustang II.
