So about a month ago i bought a truck to DD instead of the sunalier. Its a 1998 Ford Ranger,4.0 v6,5 speed...4wd.

took it out an got it dirty
blew up the intake
cleaned it up
found a cheap way to keep the spare from rolling around(won't fit under the bed)
put some lights i had on it laying around and flexed it out a little
How the hell did you blow up the intake? I know its plastic, but even with the few backfires my truck has had (GM 4.3L) it has not suffered any visible damage.
NIt was parked on a hill,in 2nd gear and it rolled backwards while it was shut off.
i like it. needs bigger flares.
Anything ur ranger can do my blazer can do, if not better about the same lol na just giving you a hard time because I don't like the ranger or just about every ford except the tbird
I wish I had big tires and a lift like that tho. Lift might be a lil high for me I just want off the ground abut maybe like 2 inches or so with some 31x10.5 s
Mines just a body lift...
One of my buddies has a blazer,with a 6 inch lift and my truck sits higher
The flares will do for now,I have other plans...
Lol yeah the one thing I dislike about the blazers is that the frame sits low lol mine sits stock right know Ive seen blazers sit at about as tall as your truck with just body lifts
I want my frame off the ground a few inches lol but they are good trucks I wish the trucks came with the 3.73 gears
I like the look of the zr2 axels on the blazers nice wide stance and the 373 gears

Its about perfect right now,only thing it didn't have from the factory was the limited slip rear and a sunroof.

In all seriousness though and more on topic, I've never been much of a Ford fan. The ranger is a tough little truck though. Specially for being the cheaper/red headed step child of the Ford truck line up. I am digging what you have done with yours. It looks like a blast and seems it's doing pretty good.

The body lift and 33's were on it....butttttt they would have been first on the lift anyway,so I saved some work and cash.
I also cut the muffler off and put a thrush turbo on(it was damn cheap) ,nice little side exit and my dad dosen't bitch anymore.
I realllly want a plate bumper for the front,just can't find anyone local to make one.

I have it like that for a few days,get annoyed and just lay it down in the bed,then clean the bed out and put it back.
not really any other option is there, since it's an oversize tire? i'm not really familiar with what the truck guys do with spares besides put them in the bed.
anyway, good looking truck. i was looking into picking up a regular cab ranger last winter. they're pretty cool, fun little trucks, that's for sure.
