I don't know if it could actually take any kind of power, its running at a low speed in the demo. So who knows what will happen when the input is spun at 6000rpm or better.

I wish I could fully understand it.
Pretty much how the CVT transmission in the Agco and JCB tractors work. They use a hydraulic motor instead of electric. Durable as hell, runs like you wouldn't believe.

i wonder why he has spur cut planetaries over helical...i hope thats just for cost effectiveness for the demonstration, and not something that will be a final idea for a production transmission...
