Now if only the Chrysler plant across the street picks up more work I might say hurray. Otherwise Warren is still hemorrhaging jobs left and right.

Since most of America does not live there, many will keep sending their money (and future security of the nation) overseas.

yes they are.
but that's just the guys working there already. The new guys that come in now only get $70,000 (kidding) N, but seriously the high paid janitors still get their pay till they retire. The new ones that come in get far far less than that. i want to say only like 25% of what the current guys are getting. But short answer Yes they are still paying janitors way,way too much.

I remember when certain media spin on the "janitor" of him making nearly $70K a year. But the other part of the story was the so called "janitor" was actually a line worker and had another job role of a janitor as well. The other part was that nearly $70K was also including all the benefits including health care, which in GM was one of the best in the industry. If I remember correctly, the line worker was actually earning in the mid to upper $50K gross.
Hell, in a time of disaster and meek economics if the upper most corporate level does not take a pay level cut, why wouldn't lower level as well? I mean $hit falls downward doesn't it?
Hopefully the top to bottom has their heads out of their ass and realize they should get raises on work performance, not because " I felt like it" and maybe, just maybe history might not repeat itself.

Yeah, talk about a damned if you do, damned if you don't position for GM.

When the nation was supporting them with huge market share, they supported their workers with outstanding bennies. Then, when the nation deserted them in droves to Buy Asian, GM were the a-holes for giving so much to their workers. LOL, I'd like to see the attitudes that would have surfaced if they'd instead stayed afloat financially by paying their workers garbage wages instead.

I just am glad to see them catch a break finally. WTF, America! Get down with some national pride for a change, stop shooting yourself in the foot by sending your hard-earned dollars to other countries!

It's been tough to get an Equinox here in Canada. My neighbour is on his 6th month since he ordered it.

They are going to build them in Oshawa too,

Yay. North Ameriaca

I find some of the statistics silly. It sure is great to brag about increases compared to your worst years.
