Looks decent....but a $30,000 dollar price tag (I'm sure the reserve is damn close to that), is a hella lot for your average person to fork over....
Don't get me wrong, Evo's look cool, and that one seems hella fast....but anyone can accomplish that in a J-body for a lot less...(and that's why most of us drive them...isn't it? they are cheap to mod and aren't hondas)
Why not dump say, 3-5 grand into an already turbo'd J-body's engine and achieve the 600 horsepower for alot less?
There are a couple guys on here that have done it for drag purposes.
If you make it strictly a streetable car, it's cheap to do!
Yea this one was the highest hp evo in the world for a little while must be moving on to bigger and better things
theres a vid called ams evo working the streets or something along those lines.. its a treat look it up on youtube
Yeah!!! But..but..but you can make a J-Body AWD with a few grand! /sarcasm lol
I know this is a J-body site and all, and we are expected to hump our cars daily...but did someone just compare a j-body with a measly 5 grand in it to a championship Evolution?
I have no signiture
It's OK to poop on non-J's here. Get with it man!

lol, for what my brother spent on his motor from ams and his spare crank/rods/piston rated for 1000+hp and fuel/tuning system this year, he could of just bought their evo.
For some reason i find this funny:

LOL are you serious? Most of use drive js cuz their cheap on gas and cheap to keep on the road. Compair the Aftermarket for an EVO to a Cavalier. No comparison. Unless your a master fabicator or really good with your hands your not getting most of the stuff for a j you would for a EVO. Has anyone even made over 600 hp with a j yet? besides Hahn? Like a normal everyday guy? I mean i love my sunfire but there no way in hell would it ever come close to HP and performance of my Talon for the same cost.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

no, no they can't. id almost bet that any car on here that has 4-500 hp has spent over 5 grand on their engine alone. that eveo is a track car awd your not going to get that out of a j-body. ive yet to see any j-body push that much power and be race track ready

I feel let down. I thought it was
THE AMS evo 8. The 1400hp one...
fortune cookie say: better a delay than a disaster
Looks beat, plus it has a rebuilt title. 30k? yea right.
modded evo or modded j-body... aint going to make it worth more than blue book.
sorry.

Yeah, no doubt that a track car with AWD is going to be better than a j-body...I was just stating that you can PUSH around the SAME hp for LES MONEY. is it better to be in a 600hp AWD? or a 600hp FWD? well it's a no brainer there....but still, it can be done...
All I was saying was, I can do it with 3 grand.
I won't be race track ready...but just wait 6 months.
Not asking for a flame that it can't be done. Just wait, just wait....
They couldn't even make the charge piping symmetrical and cut the bumper evenly? Wow....

You're telling me you can make 600hp for $3k... hahahahaha... okay
You realize... you have motor mods along with a suspension to put the kind of power to the ground right?
To be on topic.. yeah it's real sweet. A good deal for what has been put into it? Yes. Worth that much for sale? No. However some kid will have daddy shell out cash for it I'm sure, and he will probably destroy it and wreck it.
im glad i sold my J for one, and when your done putting 3 grand in you J track it against my evo

If people would read my first post in it's ENTIRETY before replying and saying total b.s.
here's what I said in my first 2 posts:
1. ASSUMING that a J-body already has a turbo kit on it that will withstand 600 hp, you can DUMP 3 - 5 grand STRICTLY into the ENGINE and turn up the boost to achieve the same hp....I did nowhere state anything about suspension mods, or mods required to take it to the track...I just stated that you could build a 600hp ecotec engine for less.
2. Now, Yes you need handling and suspension upgrades to be able to handle the extra power, but if you read correctly, I didn't talk about the suspension/handling....besides, there's not too too much in the way of handling upgrades that you need to buy in order to handle the power.
3. I was just stating that it is CHEAPER on a j-body to achieve the same horsepower....am I wrong for wanting to achieve 600hp and be able to drive it on the street for less than 30 grand?

You'll be hard pressed to make that kind of horsepower, better off swapping to a 3800 and turboing it. There isn't enough support out there, I guess with enough cash you could have stuff fabricated, but trying to put 600whp to the ground in a fwd j-body just wont happen.. AWD is the key term.. Not sayin it wouldn't be fun havin a 600 hp cavy, but it wouldn't be worth more than 10k if you try to sell it, if you can get that much. Trying to street a 400 hp j-body is hard enough let alone a 600hp one. Not tryin to be a dick, it's just comparing apples to oranges.
