I told Paul about this thread... His only words. "DARREN Bought a Colorado?!? he's gunna bag the @!#$ out of it."

Clearly he was wrong... but I sure would like to see that lol.

Nice!! Is it wrong to say I like this better than your "beater?" Best of luck with it dude, can't wait to see what your crazy ass does with it! If it turns out half as nice as your Cavy, it'll be bitchin

Well, now you can tow the Cavalier to the bash even if it is broken.

Nice truck!

Nice score. The color is right!

While it will look badass lifted with some meaty rubber on it, I'd have liked to see it done in your typical style, bagged with big chrome rims.

Nice truck,

A few things:

First off, if you plan in towing around 4000 pounds with that thing bring your wallet because the truck will not get in to over drive. So you will be enjoying around 8 mpg on the highway while towing.

Also don't plan on loading it too often because you will wrap the leaf springs around the axle after a few heavy loads. There are no ad-a-leaf kits built for it, So you can ether go with a custom kit, or do airbags. (we wrapped ours just by hauling the moto-x bikes around for haft a summer. It is a 05 Z71 with 60 km)

I hope it does not have a sunroof because it will leak like crazy. And stay away from MBRP exhaust systems for it, they rattle and bang off the hitch.

And i would pull the ABS fuse too, it can be quite scary.

If you just plan on bombing around on roads and don't load it up with anything it will suit you just fine.

I’m just passing on what I’ve learnt with our truck. My advice is get a full size because our 05 Z71 takes soo much abuse it baffles us how it still runs, and burns the same amount of gas.

Now every one light me up because I’m a dumb hick that drives a pos truck or what ever was said last time.

i've had several heavy loads in my truck and have been fine, and never had issues with the ABS.
