this one runs/drives
I got it for 450 bucks. First purchase will be alternator/battery. First mod will be a master set of prothane bushings, new bushing in the steering rack. I will then look at the brakes front/rear, and look into some sway bars.

eventually, having troubles deciding if I just want to turbo this one as is, and see how long I can get away with it, or build it first. Stock motor is good for 370whp before the rods give in. That's tempting to just try and exploit.
^ true and not true. a tired bottum end on those things will be lucky to survive 350. the SR can take 450whp on the stock bottom end, and produces a much nicer powerband. Your final power goals will be the deciding factor in this one, anything over 325 whp would mean the sr20t IMHO.

lol I wish dave. Just ordered that bushing set from Jason @ Aplus performance. That's not going to be fun, but the car could definitely use a good set of new bushings.
A. I hate you! 450 for a 240 is a crazy good deal
B. Boost it and blow it then rebuild it lol
stick a good enough rear end in the car and wont need to worry bout useless lol

well, as of right now, i'm prepping this car to be a track slut, and I don't have the skills to drive a lightweight 400hp+ car on a road course lol. Power will get a small bump via boost in the next 6 months
Why would you boost the truck motor? SR20's are pretty cheap.

and like i said before lol, you can score an rb26 and put a large turbo on it for cheap and run 10.40's all day long if it were a drag car... for drifting... same applies lol
