I've been thinking today, this would be a great car to lease just to have so much fun with it.

Great thought
After looking at a used S2K for $24k I had similiar thoughts.
See what Rhys Millen did with a stock Genesis?
Yea, I'm currently undecided.
I was going to buy an '09 Accord Coupe V6 6MT (no-navi), canceled the order cuz they took too long.
Maybe going to buy a '10 TSX I4 6MT w/ Tech Pkg when they come out.
Today was looking at the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T w/ Track Pkg online, and was intrigued. Never owned a turbo nor RWD (nor 6MT) car before.
Genesis V6 would be too expensive for me, and I'd like to make it a lease if possible (if Hyundai still does it?) compared to buying the TSX for the long term. TSX would be a long term "nice" car, vs. the Genesis would be a short term fun car. TSX would be the DD for the long term future, vs. Genesis would be RWD practice for the future.

I too would go 2.0T 6MT out of all the combos.
Let me know on the lease deal as I'm curious as well.
Obviously the V6 Genesis would be the faster out of the box, but the I4 would be better for three reasons, performance upgrades, less weight upfront (balance), higher fuel efficiency. On the other hand the TSX is another animal, in the sense that it feels as you're in the Jetson's car. For god sakes the navigation can control the air temp depending on which way you driver and variate the driver/pass temp so it reaches your optimal temp.
Either way both car shines well on their different spectrum.

Yes, but I'd want comforts such as better stereo and HID's. And cruise control is a must for me since 95% of my driving is highway.

Yeah, I'd want the comforts also. Excited about the 2.0T track for the Brembo's and HID's. The springs, and swaybar differences would make it nice for AutoX though.
Accord V6 6MT......by far one of the FUNNEST cars that I have ever driven. Hands down.

The RWD and sportiness that comes with it is what most intrigues me.....

Ive never driven it, but it looks nice!
hows the interior?
I agree with the rear wheel drive. I dont think I will ever own another car thats not RWD again. my current and last car were both RWD and it feels like its just how a car is suppose to be made...
Good luck with the decesion

It's definitely lease-worthy.

Genesis is realy a intersting car. Hyundai is selling it in different countries with sucess and good price. The version 3.8 V6 is incredible fast...

Yea. I wanna take one for a little spin at some point, just to see how it is. I hate the fact that I am too broke to even get a toy car right now though

Ill be honest, when I drove one for the first time, I was not impressed at first. But after getting it opened up a little, and bouncing around, it was rather plesant. I would not mind having one as a DD at all. That, and some simple mods, they can look REAL nice.

The Gencoupe will be my next car. I debated between the 2.0T and the 3.8L V6, and honestly after the cavalier, I just want to do bolt-ons. I can't be bothered to do all this turbo crap again, its just nightmare after nightmare. I want to feel how it is to enjoy a car again without the hassles, so that's why I'm going with the V6. But for a lease, you obviously won't be getting into mods, so I mean for price point versus what you're getting, it is a great package I'm sure you'd be pleasantly surprised. The only downside to that engine right now is the rev hang it has. Maybe fixed with a dealer reflash or something, but everyone complains about it online.

I went by the dealership today to check them out. 2.0T MT and 3.8 Track MT. Didn't do any test drives, but they did seem nice
I'm gonna go to another dealership this weekend and maybe do a test drive and some numbers. Also gonna pass by to try out the TSX again, but they're just two totally different cars.
