Just picked it up this weekend. Its extremely dirty from the 330 mile round trip to pick it up.
Overall Im stoked, Big time upgrade over the cav. No regrets.
Ill post up once its actually clean
One of our members just got rid of her 06 GTP. Hers was a black 6 speed. Very nice cars!
is the yellow part on the engine supposed to look like a turbo?
whats the deal with it?
welcome to the G6 club!
Nice looking car. Still not a fan of the leather-gets to cold up here, but you have the "butt warmers" so I guess its ok
interesting looking engine bay... 3900 v6? what? apparently i havent looked at these cars enough... i never knew gm developed a 3900 motor.... or modified the existing 3800 to be a 3900... specs? and whats with the yellowish gold piece in the middle?
not a bad looking car at all. white for the loss though.
The yellowish piece you guys are talking about is the intake manifold. Here's a pic of what it looks like without the engine cover:
interesting.... i still wonder why the 3900 and not the 3800
not a fan. they lack something with the looks for me.
Seckz! Love it!

That is the most boring GTP body-wise EVER. Seriously, it just looks so bland. What exactly makes these cars "GTP's"? Like I don't exactly know what Pontiac does to their cars to classify them as such. I always thought GTP was the highest performance and exterior styling model of the specific car there is. If an NA V6 and stock bumpers with some 18s is the "best" G6 I can get, I would be totally disapointed. I am not trying to detract from your excitement and I hope you got a good deal on it, I am just wondering about the GTP name and what exactly it means.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Well the GTP package comes with a 240hp/240tq NA motor, Tiptronic tranny, 300 watt monsoon 8 speaker system, Side airbags, bla bla bla
Theirs more to the car then you think. Plus this 3.9 gets me 24mpg city which is pretty decent in my book for the motor size.
Granted with the sticker at 28k new on mine I would pass it up no doubt, but its the best bang for the buck for the moment
nice, should look better once its modded to your own taste. i like the white.
get a lip kit and the flat wing like in your sig. then itll be 10x better. i love the g6 coupes!
I'd like to make a GXP clone but that kit is very hard to come by.
The razzi kit isn't bad at all either. But I agree it needs something on the exterior. Once the weather warms up the emblems and stealership logos come off. Should have the tint done here soon too

Watch Schram's ebay auctions. I see GXP parts pop up on there from time to time. I know I've seen the rear bumper and sides on there.
Drove an orange 6-speed, I dig the V6 torque, though wasn't too impressed. Sure with some mods it'd be fun. 6th gear was useless in highway speed trial.
Your sig package is a must IMO. Congrats!
Glad you like it.

I've been watching Schrams auctions for a month now and all ive seen is the wing they cant sell. Someone else is selling the front bumper for like 600 shipped

That's because this engine has nothing to do with the 3800 boat anchors. The 3900 is a 60 degree v6, the same as 2.8, 3.1, 3100, 3400, 3.4dohc, 3500, etc. The 3900 is pretty much the culmination of GMs ohv 60 degree v6 technology.
The 3800 boat anchor is a 90 degree engine.
It looks really good in white
