Maybe if they gave you 3 extra tranny's with car, and a cool pen to write each blown one in your GTR manual

Bwahahah I seriously spit pepsi out on that one.. Lol so true too.. MT must be on crack, or haven't driven it enough for the tranny to fall apart

My guess is they cant afford the warranty claims on the pen so there is a 20 click clause in the owners manual. I highly recommend not using the pen to its "full" potential.

@!#$ MT at this point and every other fan-boy magazine of this car. I've already commented that I will be done with my subscription to SCC if they fail to publish the truth regarding this car.

Nissan is probably deep in their pockets right now paying these magazine editor's off.

If I remember correctly, they base their decisions entirely on how the car drives, and not at all on reliability, or how long the tranny lasts.

Car of the year.

As in we don't care if it doesn't run next year.

because to be titled as something as 'over-all' as Car Of The Year, you wouldn't take anything like reliability, comfort, refinement, curb appeal, gas mileage, price-to-performance, or anything like that into consideration. If that is the case, good for them on being complete idiots.

I am willing to bet that every second page is a Nissan ad, and the review of the GT-R is at least 5 pages, and they had very specific rules on what could and could not be published about the car in exchange for all the advertising cash Nissan shelled out. I hope everyone realizes that Car Of The Year for MT is the same deal every year, whoever swings on MT's nuts the most and pays most for advertising wins.

It boggles my mind every time I read an article about this car in a mag, and never ONCE is it mentioned that the car has serious reliability issues, and voids the warranty if you even use the advertised features.

"Knee sand"

No mention of the pages in the manual for transmission replacements

Wow... Thank god I don't listen to what MT says. Car of the year? How many months are you going to drive that car?

You are correct.
If they factor in reliability, Lexus would win every year and German cars would never stand a chance. Hate the car, but overall it is not a bad package.
Lastly, I have to deal with dealers and manufacturers and quite frankly I have not heard of abouth the GT-R's tranny blowing up, granted I don't hang around any other car or Nissan forum in which there might be an in depth info on this.
