nice choice on the r6. def my fav bike by far. look into getting a tank pad so ur jacket doesn't scratch up your tank. and ride safe! enjoy!
VERY NICE! I had the same bike until recently. Mine started life the same as urs, ended up like this:
Just picked up an 08 a few months back, loving it so far! Silver FTW!
Any plans for it???

May I ask how much you paid for it? I'm selling my '08 Ninja 250r and am looking at an R6.
2010 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited
1999 Cavalier Z24 Supercharged
1999 Grand AM SE (Beater Car)
1997 GMC Sierra
2007 Honda CBR 600RR
2005 Honda TRX450R
I paid $4400. It came w/ 2 aftermarket pipes (a Yoshi, and a Jardine), frame sliders, swing arm sliders, rear fender eliminator, about a half dozen bottles of yamalube full synthetic, chainwax, a rear spool stand and he delivered it like 60 miles for me.
As for plans... I'm going to do a -2 +1 sprocket conversion (with new chain... haven't decided which color), and flush mount front signals.
I'm also looking for the rearsets off of an 06+ so I can do a shorty exhaust conversion as well. I'd also like to fab up some projectors so both headlights will be on for both high and low beams, but that is further down on my list.
I love the look of the newer bikes, and I will probably pick up a new one in the next year or two. I got this one for now, so if I fcuck it up, I won't be too pissed
I love the look of the 08's
Damn, bikes scare the crap out of me. There is something about nothing being between me and the road but air that just freaks me out.
Nice looking toy though!

Oh, and I also plan on removing the K&N and TechSpec stickers and maybe the rest of them as well... I haven't decided on whether to keep or remove the oem stickers.
I say keep the OEM stickers. I am not a big sport bike guy, and would never own one myself. But I do appreciate looking at sexy ones like any other vehicle and HATE some of the sportbike trends. Kinda how I hate almost ALL of the VW trend mods. I think going without any stickers is far too plain looking. The factory stickers on 90% of the sportbikes I have seen give it the needed character and spice they need to not look boring IMO.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Nice bike, you got a steal.
and id also reccommend getting a pilot power to match that rear! best tire ive ever ridden on, but the mis match wasnt so comforatable for me when I had a PP on the back and stock front tire.
shorty exhaust looks hot on those!
my recommendations: flushies, shorty exhaust, tinted DB windscreen, integrated tail, Steering dampener!!!!!!! update the decals with newer ones! (i have a company cutting newdecals for mine in gold for me, will match my gold wheels on the way)

Those are brand new Pilot Power front and rear tires... got a good deal on them too. 300 installed @ the local Yamahizzle dealership.
I'd really like to get a dampener, but they cost a bit more than I wanna spend on a bike that I'm not sure how long I'll keep. If I keep it long term, or turn it into a track bike, then I'll definitely get one. I've also thought about a Power Commander, but again... I don't know how long I'll have it.
