This is the second time I've used Carfax for a vehicle. I don't really know what I'm looking for/at. On the detailed history, it states that there were no accidents reports..there have been two owners. First putting 27K miles on, and then there are no other reports of mileage. Says the car was bought at auction as a fleet vehicle.
I'll copy/paste some stuff here:
(in early '04)Title issued or updated
First owner reported
Registered as
personal vehicle
Loan or lien reported
(late '05)Sold at auction
in Texas
Listed as
a fleet vehicle
Then there's some random stuff about the places it was for sale...ended up with:
(mid '06)Vehicle sold
Followed by:
(Mid '07)Registration issued or renewed
New owner reported
Loan or lien reported
Passed safety inspection
I don't understand though. From '05 to mid '06 there's nothing..then it says it was listed for sale twice. Then it says it was sold..then again in 07 it says a loan/lien was reported. What does all this iinformation mean? I've either bought old cars, bought from family, or bought new...so a lot of this terminology is iffy to me.
It prolly sat on a lot.
Loan/lein just means the car's purchase was financed through a bank/lender.
