Well, after a long day on the car lots again yesterday, and continuously be disappointed with everything I look at, I figured why bother waisting any more time. I love the vehicle I have, why am I trying to replace it? So lets discuss how I can make it better, and more my own. I know there are some v8 guys on here. Where do I start?
I am thinking, intake, headers, exhaust, and a PCM tune. What else???
An, eBay intake with will be fine, I am sure, but where to get good headers? I want a dual exhaust, but not something that is going to be really loud at highway speeds. What are my muffler options?
As far as a tune, I have been reading about w4m, wester's, and nelson's, but all the threads are old, and I don't know if any of them are still selling. I also don't want to send in my stock PCM, I want the option to be able to go back and forth if need be.
Any links and info would be great guys, thanks.

You will find everything you need there.
Personally, look at you tube videos of exhausts to really narrow down the sound you want.
There are still plenty of tuners for you out there.
They really seem to like the Corsa touring exhaust.
I priced out a custom setup that would run me $500-600, but for a little more I can get this. They say the in cab drone is no existent!
Corsa Touring dual exhaust
What do you think?

I say go for it, its what i was going to recommend, but i didnt think youd want to shell out the cash....
Its what ill be going with on my Vmax
I just realized that is for a regular cab, it is part * CRSA-14284, I need part # CRSA-14283, for my ext-cab.
I am going to e-mail him and see if he can get it for me. Shipping to Canada may kill me, so I am going inquire at local muffler shops too, if they can get it.
It's really not all that expensive when you consider what a custom from and exhaust shop would cost. I have no issue with spending the money where it is worth it. I don't want to spend $600 on a custom job just hate it and have to rip it off and buy something better anyhow.

Right I hear you on that one, theres cheaper but really good systems out there. For me custom systems are cheap, I pay just about nothing for labor...so, i never take into consideration what it costs other people. if you don't mine the money Definitely definitely go for it...
Check out tbyrne motorsports as well...

Okay, seriously, I don't know where to start... I haven't had a pickup in ages.
Can I buy just the Corsa muffler? I think that would be the most important component sound wise, then have a shop build the rest of the exhaust around it. Or is there something else in the Corsa cat back that contributes to the no drone they are famous for?

You can take the Naked pickup bed Dwarf and use him as a muffler.
He won't mind... honest!
WTF are you on these days Matt? haha

Anyhow, back to the topic at hand. What about Dynomax? Jegs sells the dual exhaust cat back kit from then for like $300. A quick google confirms they are fairly quiet. Anyone have an experience with them?
The Jegs custom kit for my truck is like $175, lol. I think I will steer clear of it.

my buddy just put a Flomaster Super 44 on a truck similar to yours....sounds awesome! Nice and aggressive when you hit on it, but not too bad at cruising look into it
Check Cardomain for PICS
I don't work on Fridays, so I am going to go inquire at a couple local shops and see what they say. I am sure what I am looking for is not a request they have never heard before.
Also, what PCM tune should I be looking into?
