Heres a quick background story. This is my brothers 2000 Yamaha Phazer 500 (485cc air cooled). 5600 or so miles and it was bought brand new in 2001. My father and brother went up to the Michigan U.P. a few weekends ago and 15 miles into their ride the engine popped. He wasn't even beating on it. This is the outcome. This is a little scary knowing I ride the identical sled. Enjoy the carnage.

LOL on the skidoo comment! We have been lookin at some REV chassis sleds for a while now.. this might be the final push into getting some.

Finding a new engine for this sled is like pulling teeth. Only made for 2 years and theres waiting lists for them.

Go for the REV XP chassis!!! I've rode a couple and they're amazing!!! MX Z TNT, a carburated 600cc liquid cooled sled with a dry weight around the 400 pound mark... how can you go wrong with that??? (with an engine that was first put into production in 1999 finding parts is a breeze)

EDIT: Not that you'll need the parts, i recently had to rebuild my 600 (same one as this^^ but out of a 99 MX Z) after a mere 12,832km and if u seen how i ride it you would be amazed it lasted that long
