1990 Pontiac 6000 SE AWD. Was everything you'd want in a beater: reliable, comfortable, ugly (more rust than paint), able to navigate all terrains/weather conditions, plus having stuff that no ~20 year old car had business having, such as 10/9" disc brakes on all 4 corners, rear air suspension, a lockable transfer assembly, 8 way power seats with 3 way power lumbar and (!) power headrests, amplified sound system. Drove it for my last 1.5 years of college, and it never once let me down until it met its demise, when one of the rear air struts was destroyed when I had a tread separate on me.
Oh, and the best part....total cost of acquisition: 3 used fuel injectors + cost of title transfer.
1989 Z24 Convertible - Dust Covered
2006 tC - Dust Covered, but driven more
1984 dodge caravn 2.2L carburated 5 speed. every thing you do not want in a winter beater unreliable piss poor power no power steering bad brakes eats oil oh and you can't use 5 gear unless your going done hill. it met it's demise on I-87 southbound when the clutch blew apart doing 60.
is that your booby tassel hanging from the mirror
right now this is her
gonna have to stay like that until I get established at the new job and put some cash away for a bit before I can start playing with my toys more again
My beater is by far the best:
It's ugly, it's slow.. it has a topper, looks like a 90 year old man should be driving it.. but the interior is clean and the 5 speed makes it fun. I love my beater.
