The New Daily Driver

Since the Jeep was killing me on the work commute, there is a new daily driver for my work commutes while the Jeep sits at home

1988 BMW 325
I've actually had this car for a while now but finally got some decent pics of it. I originally picked up an white 86 325 for $500 but ended up selling it to get this one.

Have a good one,
Justin

They aren't that expensive to pick up. I ended up paying $3,000 for this one and it only had 90,000 miles when purchased.

I bought the car when it had 90,000 on the clock. I am around 98,000 now with it (just use to for commutes to work and back). Once it hits 100,000, i'll be putting on a new timing belt since you need to stay up on that with e30's.

That is very tempting. Since mine is a 1988 the 2.7 in it is considered the "Super ETA" since most of the top end of the motor consists of the 2.5 parts so I would just need a few parts to do a 2.7i conversion.

I have no idea what direction I want to go with it. I love the stock look more and more but wouldn't mind picking up a nice set of 14" OEM baskweaves or some after market 15" replicas from Ronal. Other than that, maybe the iS front lip and tint.

Have a good one,
Justin

Daaaaaamn! Is it just the pictures or is that actually a rust free E30?

Old Bimmer beaters FTW.

Yuppers The white one I had before this one only had rust in the trunk because of the trunk leaking when it rained. My '86 had about 250,000 miles before I got rid of it and it still ran like a champ! So I am expecting to get close to the same amount on this one.

I have a spare set f those rims off my 87 e30, if you want them let me know. Also if you ever ugrade the exhaust I will buy the stock cat off you for 100$.
The BMWs are a completely different cars, I was impressed with the e30s then upgraded to a 540i (14.1 @100 MPH Biatch!) and now am selling it fr an 840 LI. Awesome cars.

I am actually going to try to get rid of these wheels now lol. I would like to find a good set of factor 14" basketweaves or save up for some Ronal LS's. I am actually going to keep the factory exhaust. This isn't getting modded to heavily, just the subtle things.

I agree with your BMW comment. Once I got the '86 I became even more hooked into them. I was dead set on looking for a e46 M3 when the Jeep gets paid off but i'm looking around for some e30 M3's now. I love the way the car drives.

Have a good one,
Justin

I'm might be getting an e30 soon too. 87-88 325i. It has 160k on it, but the old owner replaced most of the suspension bits.

that thing is MINT. I wish I could find one that nice in CNY. My dad's friend has an 86 that I drove and fell in love with a few years ago.

There is actually one on eBay right now selling in Conneticuit. Has about 60,000 miles on it and looks to be in great coniditon.

Also, purchased these wheels yesterday. Should be at the house in a couple days. Going to prep them up and respray them to look like new.

Picture shown just for style reference: will actually be all silver
