If anyones familiar with these two cars im needing to know some information on swapping engines.

1. 1995 Toyota Tercel 1.5L Engine
2. 1995 Hyundai Accent 1.5L Engine

Ive looked over the motors and had a mechanic to look at them also, He thinks that the engine from the toyota tercel will swap with the Hyundai Accent, Do you think this is possible? The engine in the Hyundai Accent messed up on me and I have a toyota tercel sitting around with 68k original miles and would like to do the engine swap if it would work.

The engine might fit, but there would probably be alot of work getting the electronics and computers to work.

Yeah, the wiring between the 2 cars is going to be a lot different. With all that work, why not get a better engine.. I heard Lsx's work pretty good in a Hyundai Accent..

Why not go to a scrap yard get the hyundai beta engine (2.0 or 1.8L) from an elantra/tiburon and swap that in. the swap is pretty straight forward you get better performance, and the engines are dirt cheap.

Dude... the labor to do that swap CAN'T POSSIBLY be less money than picking up another 1.5 liter hyundai motor from the scrap yard....

hell if I know. I don't know Java, more than likely it's C++ or VB, it's been 5-7 years since Ive messed with those.
