If it can be jammed into a cavy, it can be jammed into a GA even easier. Go for it.

Just buy a GTP. You avoid the headaches, and get a better all around car for less money. Seems like an easy choice to me. Or, at least it was when I bought my GTP.

The benefit to the GA having this motor is its in a lighter car, which could help if he is looking for some nice power, but with little weight.

Downside is.... front end is heavier then before, and traction could be an issue (someone correct me if this is wrong)

Wouldnt more weight in the front give you more traction?

Yea, but the extra power would take it away... unless the suspension was done up right, which if hes asking us about the swap, sure as hell wont be done right.

It can be done.

However, you might also consider:
- Northstar conversion.
- Building the 3400 to take boost. (also to fix the LIM Gasket problem ALL late-model N's with V6 suffer from).

Likely these are easier alternatives. The Northstar isn't much bigger physically, and it's about 30 pounds heavier than the V6 if IIRC.

Ok.....so crazy idea then. Cold a northstar be shoehorned into a j-body?

I'd think more along the lines of no, but stranger things have happened.

Possibly... it's been put into a VW Golf MKII.
