Hey i am just trying to find out what most people would go for between two cars.....
I am either going to get a WRX or a Evo so which one would you prefer and why???

IMO WRX and EVO owners are 99% of the time douchebags
id go Saab Turbo!
evo>cav. No body one here can say not to buy a car because of the type of people that normally drive that car because the people that normally drive our cars are girls and old people. So who cares, get what you like better. And there is no comparison between the EVO and a wrx, only between EVO and the STI, and the EVO still wins.
Well I see what you all are saying about Evo owners being pricks BUT in my defense i like to think of myself as a nice guy and i am getting one of the two because I am going to be moving to Colorado and I would like an all wheel drive vehicle that is a car, I know Saab turbos are nice but I figured I like WRX's and Evo's alot better....
From what i've seen and heard the STI would be better in the snow. I'm not sure how true that is though. Jump around on some Evo and STI boards and see what people are saying about them in the cold weather.
Also i'm assuming you meant WRX STI because like stated above...the WRX vs Evo is no comparison. Its like comparing a Mustang and a Camaro yet you only use the V6 Camaro up against a GT.
get a small 4x4 canyon.
My Cav
I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
I was in the same debate for a long time.
If you're looking for straight line speed, the Evo is better marginally
if you're looking for cornering, handling snow capabilities and a lot of fun, STi
I have been doing a lot of research mainly due to wishful thinking, but from what I have come across the STi is a better all around vehicle. I have seen and sat in both and the STi felt to me much more enjoyable.
I also heard a lot of this, Mitsubishi has some 14 years experience with the 4g63, although now its a Mivec 4
Where as Subaru has some 20 years experience with the AWD system and that suspension.
Both have their strong points, and weaknesses
When it comes down to it its really all preference.

WRX or Evo? Evo.
STi or Evo? STi.
1989 Z24 Convertible - Dust Covered
2006 tC - Dust Covered, but driven more
Well see i am looking at it purely from a non racing stand point I would like to have a STI but thats a little bit more than a STI I found a guy selling a 2002 WRX with stage 4 upgrades for only $16,000 and the car has about 50,000 miles on it so I mean it's either that or find a STI for a decent price which i don't think will happen if I were to want a car to have fun in Colorado I would choose the 240SX with a Sr20DET swap cause they have some mad curves in the mountains....
Watch the top gear episode on the Evo vs. Bobsled.
You will than determine that the evo is ridiculously nasty in the snow.
I'm back from the dead.
Currently Driving: RSX Type-S.
My Cavalier Burnt up :-(
Buy a stock WRX and dont do a God Damn thing to it.
They make great Daily drivers.
thats what i am going for....
Great.
Stay away from Mitsu and any of their associated BS unless its an EVO ... regular Lancers suck dick.
As for the car mentioned above ... I wouldnt even bother with modified vehicles. The more stock it is, the better.
WRX then. Cheaper, less on insurance, and since its only gonna be used for a DD, its pretty much perfect for what you are looking for.
Then again, im biased towards subarus...
