According to numerous sources, it is supposed to be updated after over 15 years of "stagnant" design. Anyone hear about it, or see one yet?? Check out ninja 250 riders club for more info. I've heard everything from no changes, to fuel injection, +15hp and this sweet bastard below:
That spy photo had me drooling all over it, just by checking the tire size you can tell it's less than a 600cc. You really can call it the baby ninja now, looks just like one! The only thing that turned me down was the projected price of 4,000 I keep hearing. I bought my latest bike for less than that with fewer than 4k miles. Although, this is just about the perfect inner city street cruiser that will get great gas mileage even in stop & go traffic.
There really isn't much competition in the same cc range in the US, being that they don't allow the 2-'smokes'. The UK is full of great 125-250cc bikes to get you around town, and they look hot too.

Bigger ain't always better in this case, it depends upon the application.
Nice to see they finally updated it. Looks sporty, but I feel like in person it will look kinda goofy. The same with the new Honda 250RR. I parked my bike (r6) next to one and the 250RR just looks funny and odd.

I wish we had the 250cc and 400cc four cylinders in the states... They rev to like 20k rpm. I know they aren't actually fast, its the high reving fun that I would enjoy
Well, at least it looks good now. Too bad they didn't do that to the 500 model, or I would actually be excited.

That's what the Ninja 650 is for.

I see one every day in the parking garage at my work.
Is it a scooter at 250cc?

Even my now "classic" ninja 250 was capable of ~100mph, 70 mpg, and ~14.5 1/4mile

It's about time, they look awesome I think i'm getting one in the Spring
i don't need one but I almost want to go buy one, the new design looks great.

i am holding out for a change in the 500 now! Hopefully insurance wont be as bad on the 500 as my old cbr
Think the 500's will be updated before the spring? I plan on getting a bike then and It's between the Ninja 250r, 500, or a Suzuki GS500f
They do have an updated 500, it's called the Ninja 650

my 2005 500 Ninja was only $500 a year for insurance, full coverage except collision. I wish it was still that cheap
But, if you're thinking of a 650 Ninja, just get an SV instead. If for no reason other than a V-twin sounds way better than a parallel twin (plus they're naked, and naked is better than covered up). SV650 + D&D exhaust = hot
