anyone else think that it looks like a mid 80's-early 90's corvette from the rear?
GO PATS!!!
I'm a fan. i went to the local autox and there was a gorgeous z06 running. I need to trade the GTO in for a vette.

Blue Devil FTW!
Strike fear into the hearts of the exotics!!!
Seems to me its probably a "leaked" GM video...why else drive the Vette on public roads cross country and the driver let all these random vehicles record it...not to mention the half dozen videographers on the side of the road waiting for it....
Definately not spies like the host claims....
^^ Its kinda funny you mention that. I see cars with black vinyl over them all the time with different gages for A LOT of things. I can't remember the most recent one I saw. And, they honestly don't care if anybody saw the product during its tests, just as long as they cover up the markings, they will be just fine.

GM/Ford/Chrysler have to perform on-road testing and I'm guessing the vid was shot in Michigan. There's only so much you can do on the track because they're maintained a lot better than about 90% of roads in the US/Canada. If this was leaked, it's a damn terrible leak. The Car they were in (what was it? Aztek?) sounded like it was about to die. Anyhow, a lot of spy photographers/videographers know the roads that are commonly used to test new model cars, and the best vantage points for shots of test tracks or other testing facilities (one of my co-workers' family moved to Kapuskasing, Ont. so they could get shots of GM's Cold-weather development centre.
I wondered if this was leaked when the Vette applied the brakes for aparently no reason. I assumed it was to allow the photographer a chance to catch up.
If I were to leak it, it would have been a reckless display of tire smoke.
