Regardless, the zo6, let alone the SS handles much better from reviews I have read then the viper.... As Jeremy from TG put it on the viper.

All the reviews attack the rather out of date handling in comparision to its competition in the super car world, BUT they all seem to praise the balls behind it, and the rugged driving feels. WHO wouldn't love 60 ponies though...

I prefer the Corvette SS name for this new super vette. Simple and is line with Chevrolet's trend that the top performance model get the SS moniker.
tabs i think those scoops may be functional on this model. It looks like they are there to help cooling of the brakes. But Ive been wrong before.

The rear scoops are there to cool the rear brakes as they have been since the previous Z06 model. Functionality>looks even though they look pretty good IMO.

Aren't those scoops the same as the current ZO6? I would also guess they're functional. Function is definitely greater than form.

The only difference on those pics and current Z06 are wheel/tire combo, new hood, front fenders roof and the addition of Ron Fellow's edition rear spoiler. Oh yhea the engine too.

I suspect it would have been blown up from film or digital. If the photographer used a telephoto lens, I can't imagine it would look as grainy.
Just my opinion though.

i want to say something that has bothered me. I love the vette but from a cosmetic stand point why are we supposed to be so excited? outside of the obvious, the cool new wheels, cool little wing, and the hand of God like power. it looks like just any ordinary C6. from the looks in these pics i don't see anything that stands out enough for me to go wow. I'd be more impressed when i get a ride in one. So my point here is, why do they have body bras on it? like we can't possibly tell its a C6 vette?

the normal c6 z06 is only 1/10th of a second slower than the 600hp viper, so it wouldnt take much to make that faster than the viper. @!#$ vipers. car and driver reviews on the z06 are so inaccurate because i they have the z06 running like 11.7 and 11.7, when ive seen them stock run 11.4 all day long and on slicks bust out a 10.8 completely stock. Z06=GOD
