what toyotas hold up better? I would buy a chinese car marketed by a american MFG.The chinese are going to be a industrial powerhouse years to come. why else is so much investment there. There are alot of poor people out there and i am one of them.If this car was sold under a dodge name plate and it was cheap i would be all over it. Also there alot of chinese with money and they buy chinese made buicks with cash. i envy them i cant afford a buick lol. long live the soon to be number one superpower the CHINA. i wonder if china still remembers the ww2. i would not want to be jappan in 2015
Jesus . . . The front end took 400% of the damage and just gave away completely. I've never seen an offset crash test effect THAT much damage to the point where the driver side roof, door and a-pillar was MAJORLY effected. Thats insane.
do they even design these cars with frames?

lol... they had to remove the crash test dummy in pieces.
I work on Wall Street, but didn't force you to take out a loan you couldn't afford.
Wow, remind me to never get into one of those death boxes. Just goes to show that quality Chinese craftsmanship. I wouldn't buy a thing that was made in China if I had a choice, except maybe some fireworks, but since the country is being flooded with all of their inferior products usually I have no choice. Those Chinese people must be careful drivers, knowing that an accident will do that kind of damage. How big is the explosion when they get hit in the rear?
the @!#$in' windshield fell out!

This was true until China started manufacturing young childrens toys with deadly levels of lead, dog food that killed dogs and now contaminated meat products. China may have been a quick gainer of market share but its going to reach dot bomb status now, it won't die, but your going to see a major reduction in Chinese market growth.

Companies rushing to invest in the latest "low cost manufacturing" hotspot without thoroughly investigating the policies and procedures that actually go on in the Chinese manufacturing world. There's been more than a few companies coming back from China, without any of their proprietary tools or processes, simply because the Chinese have already knocked them off. Many companies are already switching back to European/North American manufacturing simply for the quality concerns.

Aww man, that was brutal at the end of the SUV slow motion, the airbag deploys and then everything in front of it comes back and sardines the poor crash test guy. The little car didn't look bad actually, but it only hit a wall and not the offset. I'd still feel safer in my 17 year old Cavalier.
The front 2/3 of that car is the crumple zone, cripes!
people have short memories. remember bird flu? or how about the conquest/starion( car i want to own with a passon) with head gasket issues, abs issues, and stumbling from time to from the factory.how about pearl harbor. like I said china will be forgiven its a big market with no polution laws.
regardless, IF these cars are ever sold over here, i assure you they WILL sell. theres alot of poor people, like myself, who cant really afford what cars cost nowadays. and as stupid as it sounds, ppl will not care whether it sucks at crash tests, they will buy it for the price and thats it.

i really fail to see how pearl harbor has ANYTHING to do with this since that was the JAPANESE
as is MITSUBISHI
"IF" those cars are ever sold over here. I guarantee you that the government wont allow those cars here with the horrible crash tests they have.

China product = Utter crap... . ALWAYS!
And even though they are the ones paying our nationl debt, I always (try) to boycott their products. Yes... it is difficult as every thing is made there.
I read a report that Chery was considering using Chrysler to do networking for their cars here. If Chrysler does this, it will be almost guranteed that DCX will go down the crap hole.

That's why the govt needs to step in and not allow them to be sold..
They should be told to keep their pos vehicles over there, and also send them the bill to have those crash test dummies fixed/replaced.

Yes, because Nazi's run BMW...
Pretty sure most Germans don't like Hitler.
Likewise for the Japanese. It isn't an issue of politics, it's an issue of building utter piles of @!#$.

The Chinese have us by the balls. They're holding so many of our dollars that we have no choice. The government didn't protect us when the Chinese put rat poison in our pet food. They didn't protect us when they put antifreeze in our toothpaste. They didn't protect us when they painted our children's toys with lead paint. What makes you think they're going to refuse them on these cars? If need be, they'll change the standards or exempt the Chinese from them. I'll say it again, they've got us by the balls!
