i just think there is to much of a lip or dish on those to have that much chrome i would suggest just going ahead and painting the whole rim black it would look 100000 times better

Well they really aren't painted. That black is the base coat on the rims from the factory. And here's a few of them all black. I'm much happier with the polished lip rather them be all black.

It looks good. I just think it would look better on a black ss/sc. But yeah, why not do the whole wheel black, then it would belong on your car

I don't like it at all. But I don't really like the stock rims anyway. Now the G5 GT, I love those rims. Actually I love that hole car.

Yeah i love the g5 gt's rims ALOT but its almost impossible to find a set. I got tired of the stock gunmetal coming off and the look of it so i went this route. I'd rather spend the money on go fast parts.

Could you get any pictures of your wheels in motion? If so, I might change my mind

What did you use to get to the polished part? Sand or paint stripper? I am thinking of polishing my wifes SS/SC wheels on her HHR.

Used a citris paint stripper from walmart to get the gunmetal off and just a steel wool pad to take off the black on the lip. If your looking to get all the paint off the rim i would look for a stronger paint stripper. Some have used some from the Home Depot and it took everything off and left it polished underneath. But using the steel wool on the lip was a major pain in the ass. Takes almost 1.5 hrs for one wheel.
