31k for a FWD four door compact? Is this a joke? I'd rather get a Subaru WRX or Mitsubishi EVO. Hell, for that price I could get a BMW 328i

$31K for this is a bargain. lol
I saw a ad on the paper for a brand new 2007 Honda Civic Ex for close to $32K original price.... Yep... $32K!
If they show it again, I will put up for you guys.

I would not doubt that it would it would run neck to neck with a S2K.
S2K usually run high 13s or 14 flat with a good driver.

Why is everyone bitching about it being 31K? That is the converted price from how much it is going to cost in yen and has no bearing on what it would cost here (if it ever came here). We'll be lucky if the normal Civic Type R comes here.

Interesting that Honda released a car that is even faster than their Type R trim. I don't understand why it's a sedan though.

Wow, I didn't know you still existed brew-san. I don't know why it's a sedan either, it seems like they might be trying to compete with the STi and Evo 4D platforms which I don't think would work. Either way, even if it was $31,000, they would still sell out over here. Not the fastest car for the money (doesn't matter to everybody) but certainly a complete package. Gotta pay for exclusivity too. =)

Of course I still exist. been trolling mostly. I just don't feel the urge to post much these days. (not that I really posted all that much before.)

First of all, its not honda, its mugen. Kinda like RUF to porche, or Saleen to Ford...

Second, I think the 31k estimate is much closer, which makes sense, considering: You are buying basicly every aftermarket part for the new civic, plus the car, plus the labor. The money is easily the same as you would pay doing it yourself, but it comes already done, and you get the limited-availability bragging rights.
