Ok, so I dont have to post new threads everytime I do something, heres a all inclusive thread for ya'll...start to finish:
When I brought it home:
1951 Chevy Styleline Deluxe 2dr Sedan
235 Inline 6, split manifold, straight exhaust
Put the bumpers and visor on, added a few chrome accents, changed the plugs

Few weeks later I obtained some olive drab and flat white paint and went to town:
Painted the 14" wheels black, and pieced together a spotlight:
Some interior:
Threw on some pink sheets for a back seat cover until I could find something better
Continually adding more bits of chrome here and there too
Then scored some skirts on ebay for cheap:
And as I said in that^^^ thread:
WannaBzee (aka BadAceDesign) wrote:Next up is a set of 3" blocks for the rear
...So it was...
Moving right along, I scored some cheap 15" rims from a buddys scrap yard and my old boss hooked me up with some cherry 15" tires to match. Painted all the wheels satin green. Bout this time as well, I partially rebuilt the carb, as it was flooding waaaay too often.
I decided I didnt like the green, so I repainted them all "dark bronze" (brown)
Last weekend, I bought some material and went to town reupholstering the rear seat:
The black back is just a blanket, as I ran about 6 inches short of the leopard print.
So tonight...I bought some new black material and finished it, along with a temp fix on the front seat, and I finally mounted my fire extinguisher...
Closeup of the pattern:
And heres looking at you GAM!
Pulled the front and rear bumper guards off for a cleaner look. And here is how she sits right now:
Stay tuned, I work fast. Next week will be a big one. She will be in the shop this weekend while Im out of town have some...work done
And I will be in Pueblo, CO, at the street rod nationals, browsing the swap meet. Who knows what Ill drag home!

simply amazing the work you've done in such a short time... keep it up.
Lookin good - the body is in amazing shape
Definately needs some more interior though IMO, but then again there's some rust and stuff that would need to be fixed
O, and when you gonna add some striping??? or are you???
Keep it up.
-Seth
Thanks tony!
Seth- my striping brush is shot, Im waiting on a new one, but ill get some on there sooner or later! I plan on builder door panels out of sheet metal in the future, and getting some decent carpet for the floor. Should clean it up a bit. But I need to find and fix all the leaks first
Jeez already chopping the girl already, cant wait to see that.

Rust is not really a big concern right now
I just need to order some patch panels from ems and have a buddy weld them in. Just a matter of finances.
However, new update, went to a show tonight to meet up with a buddy who sold me a flamethrower kit. Planning on getting that installed next week when I get back.
wow..love it. throw in a Painless wiring harnes, LT-1 and a 4L60 swap and id be in heaven.

Well Im back from the show...Car is still in the shop. Hope to hear some news on it early this week.
However.......I did bring home some kewl stuff from the swap meet:
Set of 53 Chevy wheel covers
Running light bezel (one of mine is cracked)
A Colorado plate from 51
A set of Tray-Mates, an accessory circa late 40s early 50s
I also got some valve cover tighters to use as dash knobs, a new valve cover, a vintage cooler and one HELLUVA sunburn.
Sorry bout the crappy phone pics, my camera took a dump on friday
Some updates as of today.
Talked to my mechanic who is shooting to have the car done by thursday, friday at the latest. So she should be ready to go for a big show on saturday!
Also finally got some new pinstriping brushes, and I have almost nailed down the design for the mural going on the trunk lid. Pics soon.
Car is done! Gonna try and pick it up tommorrow afternoon.
My guy got more done than planned, and it worked out to cost considerably less than planned.
Sweer.
that car is awesome, keep up the good work
You lucky SOB, I've been looking around forever trying to find a plate from my state from 57.
Great finds at that swap meet!

Really? Wish Ida known, the guy had like 15 boxes packed full of plates from everywhere. Ill keep an eye out for ya.
Well I got the car back tonight!
She went in to have 1 and 1/4 coils cut, which dropped it about 3 inches or so. The plan was also to remove 2 leafs in the rear, but he modified the drop blocks instead, and added about 5/8ths of an inch.
Also repacked the wheel bearings, replaced the link pin kits and realigned it.
When I got back:
Then I shined up a couple of my new wheel covers and put em on. I dig em. Im gonna do the other two tommorrow.
Im finally tuckin all four tires!
This weekend I got a big show, so Ill be sure to have some pics. Ill be workin during the show, so if I get bored Im going to start laying out the mural for the trunk.
Also keep an eye out for the fire...
Love every bit of it, the paint and tires and all that. Yeah if you ever see a 57 Florida plate under 50 and I'll find a way to pay ya buddy!
