I am looking at getting an 03 Saab 9-3 turbo and Im just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these. I've driven them plenty of times, and I love them. But I have never owned one. Hows the reliability on one of these guys? And have you been happy with your purchase?

As any first year car your going to run into more problems that later years. 03 was the first year of the sport sedan. There are several major common problems in the sports sedan (03+).
One question off topic.. who is the girl in your sig? She looks familiar for some reason to me.
i dont know. i was looking at some decent amateur photos one day, and one of her gallieries popped up. I have yet been able to find her since.

And yea, I know there have been some common problems. But they should be fixed by now right? Since its a 4 year old car.

I would check the IRIS print-out for the car you are trying to buy.
If they are anything like Volvos, I would avoid them.

It's a very very nice car compared to economy cars. But when you actually compare it to real luxury cars, they feel sooo cheap. The 5 speed automatics are @!#$ (a lot of them only make it to 40K miles), sometimes it's not even the transmissions fault, sometimes the radiator leaks coolant into the trans cooler causing failure, then they blamed it on the couplers on the trans cooler. The radiator leak externally also. Or if you change the fluid in the transmission it takes a @!#$. Also the blocks have porosity issues where the short block needs to be replaced due to coolant consumption. The suspension is reliable, rarely any problems. On the 03's they have air injection and the check valve always deteriorates causing a cel. Faulty gas caps is VERY common. Every peice of the interior that is painted black peels. The window regulators break frequently (Although I havn't done one in a while). That's all I can think of at the moment. Let me know if you still want one......
